1) Privacy Policy

BookEventStall (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a platform for listing and booking festival stalls and event/club entry passes with secure QR validation at the gate. Organizers manage events on our platform, and we provide technology, payment rails (where applicable) and communication tools.

A. Information We Collect

  • Identity: name, business name (for organizers).
  • Contact: mobile number (OTP login), email, WhatsApp handle (if you contact us there).
  • Account & Usage: login method (SMS/email OTP), device info, IP, timestamps, pages viewed.
  • Booking Data: selected event/stall/variant, quantity, pass issuance status, QR code UID.
  • Payment Data: payment status, gateway reference (e.g., Razorpay order/payment IDs). We do not store full card or UPI credentials.
  • Location (optional): city/state when you enable location for local event discovery.
  • Communications: messages sent to us via email/WhatsApp/contact form.

B. How We Use Information

  • Authenticate you via OTP (SMS or Email) and maintain your account.
  • Process stall applications, pass purchases, issue/validate QR codes at entry.
  • Enable order support, fraud prevention, and dispute handling.
  • Send transactional updates (confirmations, pass/QR, entry instructions) via SMS, email, or WhatsApp.
  • Improve features, analytics, and safety; comply with legal obligations and tax/GST rules where applicable.
  • With your consent (where required), send marketing about events near you; you can opt out anytime.

C. Sharing & Processors

We share necessary data only with: (i) Event/Club organizers for your booking/application, (ii) Payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay) for payment processing, (iii) Infrastructure/communication providers (e.g., cloud hosting, SMS/email/WhatsApp providers), (iv) Analytics/ads vendors (e.g., Google Analytics/AdSense) on our website. We do not sell your personal data.

D. Cookies, Analytics & AdSense

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions, analytics, and advertising (e.g., Google AdSense). Visitors from the EEA/UK/CH may see a consent banner powered by a Google-certified CMP. You can manage your consent preferences there. E. Data Retention

Account/booking records and invoice/payment references are kept for as long as needed for service, legal, and tax purposes. You may request deletion of your account; certain records may be retained where law requires.

F. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, role-based access, secure QR formats). No method is 100% secure; use strong device security and do not share your OTPs/QRs.

G. Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or delete your data (subject to lawful retention).
  • Opt out of marketing messages; transactional messages may still be sent.
  • For EEA/UK users: additional GDPR rights (objection, portability, restriction). Contact us to exercise.

2) Terms & Conditions

  • Bookings/applications made through our platform are between you and the organizer.
  • Event details (dates, artists, venue rules, stall allocation, entry policy) are controlled by the organizer.
  • Each QR pass is unique; sharing screenshots may lead to denial of entry if already scanned.
  • You are responsible for verifying event authenticity and reading organizer rules before paying.
  • We may cancel/refund on suspected fraud/abuse at our sole discretion.

3) Refund & Cancellation Policy

A. Stalls (Applications/Fees)

Non-refundable and non-transferable. Once paid, stall application/booking fees are final, as allocation workflows begin immediately with organizers.

B. Event/Club Passes

  • Change of mind / no-show: No refund.
  • Event cancelled or rescheduled by organizer: We will facilitate organizer policy—refunds or alternate date at their discretion. If the organizer approves a refund, it is processed back to the original payment method.
  • Duplicate payment or failed transaction captured: Eligible for reversal once verified by the gateway.

Processing timelines depend on banks/gateways (generally 5–10 business days after approval).

4) OTP Login & Communications

  • Login is via OTP to your phone or email. Do not share OTPs.
  • We may send transactional updates (e.g., pass confirmation, QR, entry updates) via SMS, email, or WhatsApp.
  • For support, you may contact us via WhatsApp or email; messages may be stored for quality and compliance.

5) Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to remove it.

6) Changes to This Policy

We may update these policies periodically. Updates will appear here with the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance.
